HookahPlace Creek is our sixth lounge in the UAE, and the boldest yet. Step inside Palace Creek Residences and you enter a cave: terracotta walls carved with texture, and a ceiling of craters where volcanic lava flows one moment and a starry sky appears the next. T o the left, a mocktail bar gathers around a sculptural travertine island. T o the right, the shisha lab: a table of fire agate where the master prepares your shisha in front of you. That is how HookahPlace has worked since 2013 — the master is never hidden in a back room, but right beside the guest. Outside, a terrace for 82 guests, greenery and the lights of Creek Harbour. Leave the city at the door. Inside, it is stone, fire and a long evening.
